With constant changes within each of the ‘three circles’, achieving a common vision may seem elusive. On top of this, expectations and pressures may be present but unspoken. The lack of open communication can in turn increase the likelihood of making decisions that are based on assumptions, or information learned ‘through the grapevine’.

This breakfast workshop will introduce participants to a practical exercise that can be used during a family meeting of your own. The exercise being presented is designed to help you and your family to open-up with each other and communicate in ways where individual aspirations are shared, so discussion can be facilitated in a way that will lead towards the development of a common vision that everyone in the family understands and supports.

Workshop Facilitator:

Chris Reichert B.Comm (Hons), MBA is an advisor with Blackwood Family Enterprise Services, a boutique planning firm that helps multi-generational enterprising families to navigate the complex situations that emerge when business, family and shareholder issues overlap.

Blackwood engages with all generations of an enterprise family in a process that helps identify common values and to clarify “where the family wants to go”, so the existing team of legal, accounting and tax professionals can develop the structures necessary to achieve the family’s goals.
